The schooling and training of the horses is done by Penny Note. They are trained or corrected in a professional and fair manner, always taking into account the individual character of each horse. In line with Penny’s classically oriented training, the horses are schooled following the Ausbildingsskala.
The training of the rehabilitating horses is also taken on by Penny. When the horses get the green light from the veterinarians to start training gently, she carefully puts them to work. Of course the horses are closely monitored during this phase. In consultation with the owner it is decided to what extent the horses will be trained. Once they are stable and remain healthy, they can return home.
After the completion of her academic studies Business Management & Marketing, Penny decided to turn her hobby into her profession. This decision was followed by three years of training with Jan Dupont (Aalter, BE), handler and rider at Grand Prix level.
After this training she moved to Germany, Emsbüren. She worked and trained with Rudolf Zeilinger. For 10 years he was a student at Willi Schultheiss, one of the founders of classical riding. Zeilinger still trains the Danish team.
An internship at J. Bemelmans followed…
In 2002 she traveled to Mettmann where she worked for several months as a rider for Dieter Laugks, who is also a trainer and rider at Grand Prix level. After this she remained in Germany as an independent professional rider. Among others, she rode horses for Fiona Bigwood: British Grand Prix rider.
After about three years, she moved with Bert to Limburg (BE). She began as an independent professional rider in the Netherlands and continued training horses. In May 2010 the farm in Maaseik was purchased and finally a private horse company was launched.
